December: Best albums and EPs – Week 1&2

With releases coming and going out of the Stoney Roads MP3 section so fast recently, we’re aware that lots of fantastic EPs and albums become history after just a few days. For most of you, we realise it’s impossible to listen to everything. So in the interest of making it easier for everyone to catch up, from now on, twice each month we’ll be posting our 10 favourite releases from that half if you’ve been too busy to listen to new beats during the week, with streaming links, label info and a place for you to cop it.

So, here’s part one of December’s Top 10 – it’s been a very good fortnight for releases as you can see – check out last fortnight’s post here. If there’s something you think should be in this list chuck it in the comments section below!

Mumdance & Logos – Proto / Legion

MALL

Genre: Techno
Score: 7.5/10

Distal & Mite – Concrete Space

“10 tracks of bass-laden house and rave-filtered techno; Distal’s half favours 808-heavy, rave-rap reconfigurations while Mite’s acid house / techno mutations are more meditative.
