Pat Carroll shares melodic masterpiece ‘Hope’

Sydney electronic artist Pat Carroll continues to blossom with an imaginative and complex new single, titled ‘Hope’.

In his earlier work, Pat shone a light on a more colourful, dynamic production style with the release of the ‘Winds Alight‘ EP & got more introspective with the ‘Branching EP‘. The notoriety and support of his discography so far has created a groundswell of admiration from his peers, with Pat explaining;

‘I’ve grown up thinking about the artists that influence me as being these people who are unreachable and on another level etc. But that’s all changing for me now. The people who I’m really inspired by now are friends in Australia doing just as creative and innovative stuff.’

On the making of ‘Hope’, Pat went into creative process quoting;

‘I didn’t really intentionally set out to make a hopeful track or anything. In fact, the idea of the track representing hope gradually came to be through the process of writing it. So when I built that section before the final climax part, I really wanted to express the idea of things falling apart and disintegrating before a new element grows out of it. I think that is my representation of hope’.

‘Hope’ is no less than a banger. It showcases both the melodic and the more prickly club end of Pat’s music. The song keeps you engaged with its tension and spacially vibrant soundscape.
