Premiere: Cult Trip Debutant Loïcc Drops Cosmic 12”

Sydney-based techno imprint Cult Trip have hit the nail on the head yet again, uncovering the best thing to come out of Armidale since Dean Widders.

The hard-hitting label continue to recruit well, with local producer Loicc set to debut his first release, a 12” EP entitled “Get Myself To It”.

The forthcoming, vinyl only release represents Cult Trip’s sixth instalment and features four pulsing club-ready tunes that span from the tech heavy, acid inspired Sullen Room, to the slow, smouldering Der Nacht.

Loicc, real name Julian Boggs, is a percussionist and recording engineer by trade; so it comes as no surprise that the EP features some impressive and at times confronting drum work.

Mastered in Berlin, the release has been shown early support by a handful of big names including Noise in my Head (NTS), Daze (Lobster Theremin), Aidan Bennison (Templar Sound), Alba (Plastic World), Tuff Sherm (Trilogy Tapes).

The EP will be released on May 19. You can pre-order “Get Myself To It” here.
