Signed to up-and-coming Sydney-based techno label Cult Trip Records, ‘Pagan Conjurer’ lives up to its name, with the tribal bongos and brooding percussion giving off the kind of dark atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re about to see an ancient sacrificial ritual. Or something. On the other hand, haunting 80’s synth vibes complement the darkness, breaking up the rhythmic drumming and driving the track’s eerie tone.

The scrumptious offering to the techno gods is backed up by this ridiculous, psychedelic video from Sydney producer Dro Carey. Not only can he whip up a delicious track or two, but it’s clear he’s got the videography skills to match.

The track and video come as part of Cult Trip’s third release. Their unique techno sounds and vinyl-only approach quickly earned them a loyal following and a reputation as tastemakers. We have no doubt there’s big TINGS from this imprint in the not-too-distant future.
