Local hero What So Not has released a brand new track featuring fellow Aussie George Maple and enigmatic rapper Rome Fortune.
The track is an intimate, brooding and challenging piece, that see’s What So Not progressing even further with his own musical style. The Fools Gold singee, Rome Fortune, is a perfect match for this beat, chugging out a powerful verse that bounces off the silky vocals of George Maple.
The film clip, directed by Leticia Dare (who recently worked with Maple on her ‘Sticks and Horses’ video) and Andrew O’Toole, takes the audience on an uncomfortable yet intimate journey between Maple and Emoh, as they struggle and grab under water.
This is not the first time we’ve seen What So Not and George Maple work together, following their huge 2015 collaboration on ‘Gemini’ that clearly sparked musical chemistry.
It really seems to be goal after goal for What So Not of late, with this remarkable music video for ‘Buried’ following the massive collaboration with GANZ and JOY. on ‘Lone‘.
Watch and listen to ‘Buried; below, and tell us what you think.
