Roland Announces Digital and Analog Synth, The JD-XA

Pioneering tech company Roland have announced the JD-XA, a synth that encapsulates both digital and analog onboard mechanics.

While the debate has raged for years over the necessity and quality of analog versus digital it seems Roland have cut to the chase by offering up both engines inside the new synth.

It’s not exclusive either with both engines able to work independently or together blending the textures, something Roland assures will create new, unique sounds.

Talking tech the synth boasts 64-voice synth as well as a 16-track sequencer with a wide variety of on-board effects including a microphone-controlled modulation and vocoder – hoorah!

Having only just officially been premiered at the Musikmesse show in Frankfurt we might be looking at an Australian delivery later this year.
