In the lead up to his eagerly awaited new ‘Flashlight’ EP next week, Simon Green (aka: Bonobo) has released the third and final track “Return To Air”. In a similar vain to the title track, this new offering is the perfectly playful finale to this elegantly whimsical EP. ‘Return To Air’ is a a crafty construct of percussive pulse clicks that tessellates with the washed vocal licks that peak out in between this highly complex salad of sound.

Green hinted to this being the final note of his modern dreamy sound style, saying “In a way, it’s the last page of that chapter before I settle again and start the next album”. Despite being a little saddened by the temporal nature of his latest style, Bonobo boasts an envious evolutional consistency unlike most others, so it’s incredibly exciting to speculate on what kind of magical music progression he has in store for us in the future.
