Prolific disco-man Hamilton Bohannon has found a home on many a dancefloor over the years. Take his track “Me and the Gang” from 1978. One for the floor, this decidedly disco original is really cool. Philly’s Matpat takes a hold of this track and also aims for the club vibe, but in his version, this takes the form of a jackin’ house edit.

Matpat loops up the chords and guitar licks with punchy drums bringing this into the modern age. Using cuts and slices from the vocals of the original, this version still packs in the funky energy, albeit a but more housey. This one should get the dancefloor lovers moving!
