Perth lord Kit Pop has just released his Seams long-play for free via his Bandcamp after a string of freebies and mixtapes with fellow local don and frequent collaborator Ta-Ku. The Sunday Records, Convex Collective and ex-Paper Chain mainstay has put together 11 tracks of lush electronica, most evident in tunes like ‘Heartbeat’, ‘Moodlight’, ‘Under Sun’ and ‘My Mischief’, off-centre trap in ‘Watch Your Girl (Goin’ Crazy)’ and ‘Bustin’, and more downtempo jams in ‘The Bridge’ to create a wide array of sounds to please everybody. I’ve been following him for quite some time now, and his ability to produce such diverse rhythms across a large electronic spectrum always surprises me. One of Perth’s best.
