Music You Can Hear, See and Touch?

What if it were possible to appreciate music as art, having multiple sensory experiences as opposed to just listening?

REIFY is a new Kickstarter campaign funded innovation that creates tangible recreations of music utilising 3D mapping and hosting.

“REIFY is a physical music platform that combines the best of both physical and digital music technology, and creates a new way to experience music.”

The platform utilises Totems, created to visually represent an artists song. They are then encoded with music and interactive visual goodness that you can play on your mobile phone or tablet using the Stylus app.

The current artists partnered with REIFY are Health, Tim Fain, YACHT and Mae, which makes the platform quite limited at the moment. The potential here is huge for dance music. Imagine Flume’s tracks visualised on a platform like this, or live events utilising this type of technology.

Their Kickstarter page has a little over $16K in pledges with their target goal being $150K. Share and spread the word to make it a reality.
