Disclaimer – This is not advertising. I just genuinely love sweatshirts.
Let’s face it, we’re all a sucker for something cool to wear and a little thing they call the internet has made it exceedingly easier to get what you want without leaving the comfort of your chair.
I’ve always had a fascination with Sweatshirt/Jumper culture that has in phases entered, left and re entered electronic music cultures since as early as the 80’s, when having a whistle at a rave was acceptable.
What to look out for when purchasing a sweatshirt/jumper
The difference between a cool and uncool sweatshirt comes down to how it has been seamed.
Straight cut seam cut around the shoulder = old school cool.
Seam cut across the side of the chest = New York Yankee vibe.
For those who own their own indie label, Ramo and Gildan cut their jumpers traditionally in the cool fashion. A few major Aussie stock manufacturers tend to cut their Sweaters in baseball theme, so make sure you check before you regret!
