As one of the few instruments to have shaped the dance music era of the 90s to early 2000s the original Bass Station has been widely regarded as a classic (Orbital, Pendulum). Now Novation has just shipped its successor, the Bass Station II.
Aesthetically, the design looks a bit like the old Bass Station, with black casings and blue stripes on the panel. Make no mistake however, as Novation claimed to have most aspects completely reworked. With 2 oscillators + 1 sub (most probably DCOs), 2 filters, and pure analog signal paths you can be sure that this monster is capable of fulfilling your quest for the largest, widest and most brutal bass and lead sounds.
This thing will set you back for about USD500 but might be the best deal if you’re looking to spice up your studio.
