RUFUS DU SOL take out Grammy for ‘Best Dance/Electronic Recording’

Local lads RUFUS DU SOL have taken out a Grammy for ‘Best Dance/Electronic Recording’ for “Alive” – a track from their fourth studio album.

It follows two previous nominations but no gong so, it’s a pretty big milestone for the Australia trio who are in the midst or tail end of a pretty damn big celebration. Speaking on the win the boys posted on Instagram “Thank you to every single one of you who has supported us and believed in us along the way. We’re just getting started”.

The category was thick with amazing electronic talent as well with nods to James Blake, Caribou, Afrojack, David Guetta, Bonobo, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and more.

While most people would be quick to jump to Flume, Alison Wonderland, Flight Facilities and co as being the biggest electronic acts Australia has to offer, it’s hard to ignore the impact RUFUS DO SOL has had, and continue to do so.

Having conquered their backyard the band have gone on to play most notable festivals and some pretty serious venues across the globe leaving behind a very warm, very euphoric feeling for fans.

What’s next for RUFUS DO SOL? Who knows but we’re ready!
