Brisbane to get giant new music festival headlined by RUFUS DU SOL

Looks like Brisbane is tipped to host it’s own large scale music festival this year with the organisers of Victoria’s Beyond the Valley and Western Australia’s Origin Fields setting their sites on the Eastern state.

“We’re really excited to create something just for Brisbane that will be totally different to anything currently on offer,” said Beyond The Valley’s Michael Cirstidis; “bringing the best of the East and West Coast together for one very special day.” according the ABC.

Dubbed Wildlands, the festival will take place at Brisbane Showgrounds with a capacity of around 28,000 and feature “the biggest and most exciting dance, electronic, and hip-hop acts” – not behd.

Only one act has been announced, but happens to be one of the hottest locals in Australia right now with electronic trio RUFUS DU SOL set to take the stage. The boys have been on a tear of late with a stack of local and global shows including Coachella.

The announce very likely means either Beyond The Valley or Origin Fields will cop RUFUS DU SOL for a New Years Set as well!

It all goes down December 28th with more acts and tickets to be announced soon, follow the Facebook event now.
