SOPHIE has today shared the third video instalment in lead up to her forthcoming album.
‘Faceshopping’ was originally released back in Feb, following a string of huge singles over the past 6-months in ‘Ponyboy‘ and ‘It’s Ok To Cry‘. The track is another prime cacophony of experimental electronica that blurs the line between music and white noise in the best possible way while touching on themes of sexuality and materialism – common themes in SOPHIE’s music.
The video – directed by SOPHIE and Aaron Chan under the creative direction of Nick Harwood and Eric Wrenn – is everything you’d want in terms of visuals for this monstrous single. The strobe-like editing on this mini-masterpiece bounces between familiar iconography and almost undistinguishable close up shots of flesh, raw meat and other rather confronting images.
Watxh the vieo below, and let us know how it makes you feel.
