Summer is closing in people! Like, seriously it is only a matter of days away, which is exciting not only for the warmer days and holiday season but also for the music!
As December rolls around, we start thinking festivals and day parties, which there are ample of in the warmer months. To make life a little easier for you, we picked out some of our favourite events over Summer that you should you should absolutely get along to.
Be it a large scale festival or a low-key day party, here is our must-do Summer party list you have to get around!
This is a brand new festival kicking off this year, boasting a heavy-hitting debut lineup made up of 2ManyDJs, Tiga, Paces, Hot Dub Time Machine and more. Not bad for a park party in Marrickville!
The veteran party of the Summer time, nothing screams new years day like heading to the Domain in the heart of Sydney to be serenaded from a smorgasbord of international and local artists. The good news is it’s got all your local favourites including Flume, George Maple, Golden Features, Set Mo and more. The not so good news, it’s sold out, like… really sold out! Goodluck getting your hands on a ticket.
If getting out of the city is your thing, Lost Paradise is the go-to event. Taking place a couple of hours north of the CBD, Lost has become one of the most popular Summer parties, in terms of music and the outfits!
Moving deeper into the new year, Electric Gardens delves deep into Sydney’s centennial park for a day of finely curated dance. With Fatboy Slim on headline duties, you really don’t need any further persuasion that this will be a good party.
Falls Festival has long been a go-to for a bloody good time and this years effort is no different with a selection of absolute pearlers! Your boy Flume will be on doing his thing knocking out hit after hit while the Peking Duk guys will no doubt be smashing it out in similar fashion. If that wasn’t enough to tickle your fancy the big mun Daryl Braithwaite is playing live and we’d put money down on ‘Horses’ getting a run.
