Spotify and Apple Music Are Smashing YouTube In Mobile Streams

It has been reported that audio streaming services are leaving music videos for dead.

Buzz Angle Music have discovered that in the first half of this year Americans have reached over 114 billion audio streams on music subscriptions such as Spotify and Apple music, trumping YouTube which sits at a cozy 95 billion music video streams.

So with that said, are we losing interest in music videos?

When compared to this time last year, on demand audio streaming has jumped up to nearly 110%, with video streaming climbing 23%. Not quite as impressive.

Perhaps the world is becoming too busy to sit down and enjoy a music video like it once was, or maybe listening to some guy talk about his money and Lamborghini’s at the start of every clip is a bit of a turn off for the greater public?
