Garage don Zed Bias seems to have a finger in every pie. Breakbeat, d’n’b, early dubstep, house, funky – you name it – he’s probably had a go at it. But ‘Shizam’ could be his first attempt at this almost grime-style production.

Teaming up with MC’s Stylo G and Scrufizzer, the original tune is a stuttering grime mover with a dancehall spirit and some of funky’s gleeful shuffle. But the edition we’re more interested in is the My Nu Leng remix, and, as you’d expect, it’s encapsulated the best bits from Bias’ version with their flawless production technique to make a track that’s nearly impossible not to move to.

By slowing down the original tempo to a house accessibility and by using Stylo G and Scrufizzer in a more refined way, this is a definite tune to be on the look-out for and one that’ll undoubtedly be getting a lot of play in the coming weeks.
