Elton John To Work With Swedish House Mafia Members On ‘Dance Anthem’

It seems as if we can’t avoid members of the infamous Swedish House Mafia trio even after an early retirement with word that Sebastian Ingrosso and  Axwell have been in the studio with music icon Elton John.

They’ve also been joined by One Republic singer Ryan Tedder who told Billboard that there is a dance anthem in the works with Elton vocals and written and co-produced by the two-thirds of the festival-spec group. Teddys own foray into dance has been noted having worked with Ingrosso and Alesso before on a previous track “Calling (Loosing My Mind)” so the culmination of the four isn’t unsurprising.

Dance and ELTONronic (ay ay ay) music isn’t a stretch for the “Tiny Dancer” singer-songwriter having already discovered and nurtured Australian pairing PNAU and the more widely recognised group Empire of the Sun. Hell there was even an Elton John bootleg album with PNAU using Elton vocals for  more dance skewed tunes released way back in 2012.

More recently according to Pharrells Neptures website Elton expressed interest in working with the Daft Punk right hand man and also making electronic music sharing “I adore electronic music. I get up in the morning and put on electronic music.” adding “As a piano player I tend to overdo things, and electronic music is about simplicity. I had lunch with James Blake the other day, and listening to his album is so simple and beautiful.”

The result? We’re unsure but we’re suckers for Elton so it has to be great!
