Does the name Thomas Bangalter ring a bell? It certainly should, he’s only one-half of Daft Punk after all!
But aside from the robotic two-piece with his old pal Guy-Manuel, Bangalter has built up a very sturdy catalogue of solo work dating way back, and when it comes to his music we can really look no further than ‘Club Soda’.
Released in 1997 as part of a two-track LP – the same year as Daft Punk’s debut album ‘Homework’ – this disco infused, house cut is arguably one of Bangalter’s best releases, and is home to the most infectious rhythms that still finds itself glued to my brain today.
