SoundCloud is (finally) making their Mobile interface better!

SoundCloud may be the home for amateur music, birthing the careers of some of the world’s biggest artists today, but let’s face it; their mobile interface isn’t great.

Thankfully, it looks as though this issue may be coming to an end, with SoundCloud announcing last week that they are rolling out a new Mobile interface, the ‘mini player’ that is set to make the listening experience easier for the user. Hallelujah!

According to SoundCloud’s official press release, the new and improved feature is a “visible bottom bar with navigation controls, track metadata and a dedicated “like” button, on the SoundCloud app.” Essentially, the player becomes a smaller part of the screen so you can continue to browse music while you listen.

The press release also states that this new mini player will “eliminate the need to toggle between the full screen player and browse screens, so you can find that perfect next track, skip or like a track–all without changing screens.” The new interface will also make building your personal playlists easier, with a simple “like” of a track giving listeners to option to add to their collection.

Well played SoundCloud! See the full press release here and have a geez at how the new player will look below.
