Fresh today in the ‘Who Knew?’ files, 80’s pop-rockers Depeche Mode released an album last year. Considering the only vain we thought of the old mates in concerned really homo-erotic outfits (damn boiz), playful synths and yoghurt commercials.
Their album in question, ‘Delta Machine’ happened to simple fall into our lap – via the new remix from Stoney favourites Boys Noize. Taking the synth and the sadness in his stride – Boys does what he doest best with ‘My Little Universe’, and pumps out a hard, warped and disjointed remix of the track.
The bassy beats and cold electronic manipulation of the track gives it depth and renders it far superior to the original (sozzy Depeche). The listener does, however, get the best of both worlds – with the moody songwriting and lyrics still playing a key part in the track.
