Scrufizzer debuts on Black Butter Records with his ‘Kick It’ EP, a release featuring two originals and three remixes for all things house, bass and slightly off-kilter grime. While the original and the extended mix reek of a greezy London vibe and a catchy house tempo, Zed Bias transforms the tune into a more mystical, chopped-up, two-step lick whilst Marshall F goes for a garage twist backed by a dark and ominous, tech-step bassline. Finally, Patrick Hagenaar gives ‘Kick It’ a progressive, tranced-out re-imagination with some rather bubbling, electrolite low-ends popping off.
