Notoriously guarded founding member Ralf Hütter of Kraftwerk has revealed to the New York Times that Kraftwerk have a new album in the works!
Hütter’s interview played out like the lyrics to one of their songs stating “Music is never finished. It starts again tomorrow. The record is just a record, but for us it’s nearly boring. We like better the programs that we can operate with. So we are operating, we are upgrading, we are updating continuously. There’s continuous reprogramming going on, and composition and new concepts are also coming”.
The throughline of the conversation was that a Kraftwerk record was on the way with the most exciting part being Hütter claiming that the album would emerge “soon”! More German computer love for all!
