Making an appearance amongst the ship-faced party people upon last weekend’s ‘Holy Ship’, Pharell and Major Lazer anchored their place in awesome collaboration history with an impromptu debut of some seriously phat beats.
Although the slide into Pharrel/Robin Thicke’s ‘Blurred Lines’ in the middle of the performance is enough to make us want to jump ship – the rest of the video could easily see us drown in some hectic lyrical talent (speedy lips, ay ay).
Accompanied by Diplo behind the decks (check out the other videos to see how the floating music festival was a chum of the music industry’s finest), Pharell announces ‘Holy Ship! This is a brand new Pharell/Major Lazer tune right here!’ as hinted last week before rocking out in that trademark fedora, word.
The new Major Lazer album, fresh as all f*** and undoubtedly about to make waves, is also set to feature RDX, Sean Paul and Elephant. Check em’ out before that, sans Pharrell at the Big Day Out Festival 2014 as they shake their bubble butts Australia-wide.
