Ten Walls’ Ibiza Gig Canned Due To Homophobic Backlash

Lithuanian producer Marijus Adomaiti, better known as Ten Walls, has been cut from the Circoloco line-up just days ahead of the event.

The Ibiza based club night received immense backlash for booking the homophobic producer, who last year went on a Faceboook rant comparing homosexuality to paedophilia.

DJs such as Midland are among those who criticized Circoloco for booking Ten Walls, tweeting: “Booking Ten Walls is so whack. There are literally 100s of DJs to pick from, what he did was no mistake, it was a sustained hateful tirade.”

In a recent statement concerning the issue, Circoloco clarified: “Ten Walls will no longer be playing at Circoloco next Monday. Circoloco and DC10 Ibiza exist due to values of equality and freedom and we deeply regret any offense caused by this booking.”

The event is set to take place on July 4 at DC10 Club in Ibiza, with the likes of Seth Troxler, Solomun and Ellen Allien among others.

UPDATE: Ten Walls has made a statement on the cancellation:

“I do understand the pressure Circoloco has experienced and support their decision,” he said. “Disappointments and anger won’t find place in my life. I will never give up creating and performing my music, that has been everything to me, since I was 5 years old. Keep it up and see you all equalized in upcoming gigs.”
