It’s been a cool four to five years since Madeon blew some minds with his “Pop Culture” mashup – you know the one, a young guy blasting away at a launchpad triggering all sorts of dance goodness.

Since then we’ve seen plenty of attempts to overthrow the original that have all come relatively close in terms of quality but never beaten that is until a newish producer called Shawn Wasabi uploaded his “Marble Soda” live mashup to Youtube.

Using a Midi Fighter 64 the US producer has updated the template with track and equipment choice and of course skills when it comes to rapid-fire button pressing (his gf must be happy).

Stitching together over a 150 plus tracks in under three minutes with cuts from Cashmere Cat, Bearson, Drake and Jack U the performance is truly something special.

Shawn’s background is relatively unknown but with clever stuff like this it won’t be long before he makes a bigger name for himself!
