Silkie – The Lost Tapes Vol. 1 [DEEP MEDi]

STLT

We announced the release of Silkie‘s The Lost Tapes Vol. 1 about a month ago, and Mala‘s DEEP MEDi imprint is proud to finally release the label’s smoovest operator’s newest EP today.

Further exploring a crossover between interstellar bass-driven sounds and more “melodic jazz-infused musings”, this special six track EP was curated from digging deep into his computer archives; discovering “lost” music that even his close circle of producers know nothing about. He refers to DJing as “my second studio”. Heavily in demand as a DJ, Silkie takes these opportunities to test new experiments in his sound arsenal, judging the reaction from crowds to his music and picking which ones hit the mark. With London’sDMZ, FWD and Rinse FM as his training ground, he’s taken his sound to his loyal fans far and wide, collecting passport stamps across USA, Australia, Japan and Europe. With eight singles and his two City Limits albums released on the label to date, Silkie’s contribution to DEEP MEDi has been outstanding. The Lost Tapes Vol. 1 is no exception.
