Sydney is about to score a huge outdoor venue called The Village Green

Next year running from Friday, January 21st to Sunday, February 27th will be a brand new pop-up Sydney music venue dubbed The Village Green.

Over the course of the 6-weeks will be a claimed first of its kind, 2,800 capacity venue with artists booked across its entirety with lineups soon to drop. The first party that’s popped up on our radar though is a biggie. Those wanting can snap up tickets to watch UK heavyweight Patrick Topping alongside Oliver Koletzki, LOODS, Latifa Tee and more.

According to The Music Network, the venue’s co-owners, Nathaniel Holmes and Haydn Johnston, claim the venue is a first of its kind for the local music industry, and is a result of the pandemic and subsequent restrictions.

“We now have a completely unique parcel of land, for six weeks, during the best part of summer, fully licensed, and ready for outdoor live music and dancing – it’s a dream come true,” they said.

“The Village Green is a direct response to the COVID restrictions affecting the live music and events industries. What we’ve created here in Tempe is an outdoor venue capable of accommodating crowd capacities that most indoor venues in Sydney are still unable to achieve.

“The city is more than ready for a return to live music and we’ve got the perfect spot for it.”

A quick watch of the kind of hilarious hype reel shows this is going to be a pretty special spot and something you’ll want to get along too!
