After spending the past 5 years building a solid archive of bass-heavy dance tracks in collaboration with the likes of Basenji and JCAL, Fremantle based producer Ukiyo has returned for the first time in 3 months with a brand new track ‘Go’ featuring Sydney based production and vocalist duo Chymes. After a myriad of high energy club heaters under his belt, ‘Go’ feels like a pleasant breakaway from the chaos, trading in colossal drops and slamming drums for a more moody and reflective vibe.

Beginning with a beautiful set of chords and organic percussion, the track develops into a slow groove consisting of 808 drums topped with wailing processed vocals and a loose piano riff. Towards the middle of the track, we are unexpectedly hit with an epic wall of synth chords that carry the track into a euphoric frenzy before bringing the beat back for the finale. With a producer best known for eardrum rattling drops, ‘Go’ marks an unexpected new direction for the WA producer.
