5 Reasons to Get Lost During Miami Music Week

Following the Ultra Music acquisition of Winter Music Conference, times are definitely changing for Miami’s favorite dance music week. Damian Lazarus still sticks to his roots as he brings Get Lost event back for another chapter. As the event hits lucky number 13, Lazarus has again assembled a who’s who of the underground, bringing together over 40 artists, to perform in the other worldly environs of his Get Lost Miami mecca. In case you needed to weight the pros and cons, here are a few reasons why Get Lost is an event we never miss.

1. Unique venues each year make Get Lost a new experience every time

This year’s Get Lost brings three unique dance-floor environments with special art installations, performances, and secret spaces all mixed between. The result will be a unique experience, that promises to deliver some memorable sunrise moments and singularly pleasurable late-night dancing beneath the moon and stars. See you there, and at Diddy’s for the after-after.

2. A combo of crisp live acts and psychedelic DJ sets keep the lineup fresh

Of course there are line upon lines of highlights in this assemblage of talent, but Arthur Baker’s return to performing live with Rockers Revenge surely stands out, as does the extended 5am opening set by Seth Troxler, a return to the heady intimate after-hours vibe upon which Get Lost was founded. Given the unique anything goes vibe Get Lost creates, performances by Detroit icon Carl Craig and Burning Man regular Bedouin are also certain sets to catch.

3. It’s good for your health to challenge rave endurance with a 24 party every so often

Kicking off as a prime time after on Saturday morning, the Crosstown Rebels-curated experience lasts a full day and then some. Conveniently placed (and plush) rest areas give this party and old-school rave feel while ensuring to retain modern amenities (last year’s ice cold chill room was on point).

4. All your favorite DJs will probably be on the dance floor

There will be unique live performances from Davi, Dance Spirit and Pale Blue, while favorites such as Bpitch Control’s Ellen Allien, Soul Clap, Kerri Chandler, Felix da Housecat, Guy Gerber and Kolsch will also perform. No Get Lost would be complete without Lazarus’ own turn behind the decks. At Get Lost he’s created an environment in which he feels uniquely comfortable to push the envelope, taking a dancefloor down the rabbit hole with a grin and a smile befitting that of the mad hatter.

5. Wizardy (aka DJ Three, Damian Lazarus and DJ Tennis) close the party with a crate diggers dream
