Sydney label Burning Rose launch inner city record store

Burning Rose record store is open now @ 82 Oxford St, Darlinghurst 2010

Following an incredible run of releases in their first official year of business from the likes of Dormir, George Michelle and Death Bells, Burning Rose records have launched their own stand-alone record store.

Located in the guts of Oxford St, Darlinghurst, the large storefront will be officially kicking off this evening, for their In Action launch party.

Aside from their carefully curated collection of records from local artists and labels alike, the store will act as a blank canvas for local visual artists to share their work. The first artist utilising the space will Connor Bugelli, whose work will be on show tonight.

In their own words, Burning Rose write: “The label aims to present the often unheard voices of Australian musicians in a new and exciting manner. Since operations started, community has been at the forefront of our practice. We are nothing without our comrades, creators, and supporters; from all walks of life. Here we have the opportunity for this thinking to manifest itself in a physical space.”

Be sure to head along to the launch tonight if you’re in the area. Find more details on that here, and give George Michelle’s latest a spin below.
