The way things are looking, Melbourne electronic duo Kult Kyss are set for a massive 2018 with this sky-high quality of output. We’re so excited to show off their latest offering, ‘Chase The Sun’, a futuristic rework of the OG track from Planet Funk.

Kult Kyss is the combination of Rromarin and Haxx, a production team who’ve shaken electronic music in their own direction. They’ve been featured as FBi’s Independent Artist of the Week, put on high rotation on Double and Triple J Unearthed, with huge support from triple J itself.

Combined, their creative vision is clear as day, from their sound to the accompanying art – other-worldly and luminous. Not unlike their past releases, ‘Chase The Sun’ is the sonic equivalent of being flung into space. Haxx’s production begins with a heavenly, glistening trill, before introducing Rromarin’s chopped and shuffled vocals on that iconic melody. She has a distinctive tone to her voice that makes the track feel like an instant hit – one of those artists you can identify at a moment’s notice. The ethereal quality is a constant in this track, and it rises slowly but surely, making the first and final drop a release of anticipation – and one that will make you move, on that note.

This is the rework ‘Chase The Sun’ deserves. You can take a listen below.
