Here are the finalists for Lorde’s ‘Homemade Dynamite’ remix comp

After over 1000 submissions, triple j Unearhed‘s remix competition for Lorde’s ‘Homemade Dynamite’ is nearing an end, and Unearthed have today revealed their 5 finalists.

We were lucky enough to give plenty of submissions a listen over the past few weeks – ranging from hard-hitting Trap to Jungle to straight up deep and dirty House –  and as hard as it would have been to choose, the top 5 selections are really something else;  showcasing just how much talent is on the come-up in Aus.

Listen to all 5 finalists below. Lorde will be picking her winner on Monday, October 23 (as in next week!) and announced by Ben & Liam during their Breakfast segment.

Eilish Gilliagan

A Melbourne based indie-pop artist who delivers a soothing, slowed down rendition of the track.

Vincent Sole

An exciting, 20-year-old up-and-comer hailing from Melb who gets weird and wonky with his flip and adds some of his own vocals into the mixture.

Tone Youth

A Perth based 4-piece is lace the track with some hard-hitting originals vocal work over some high-energy production.

Sweet Potato

This one is a true banger from the Sydney local. Sweet Potato wastes no time chopping up Lorde’s vocals before easing into some lush synth work.

Aela Kae

This one will hit you in the feels. Aela’s soft, angelic instrumentals mesh perfectly with Lorde’s vocals.
