Jaja Bu – Sweetness

Jaja Bu is an alias from a producer out of New Jersey, who found his influence across America through the streets of New York and now LA.

Borrowing sounds from the likes of Mura Masa, Shlohmo, Stwo and I’d even go so far as to say Justin Timberlake, “Sweetness,” is his first release. The record has an alternative R&B sound, combining guitar tones inspired by Smashing Pumpkins and Hall and Oates, and a blend of analog synths and percussion.

“Sweetness,” touches upon the idea that people meet in life for various reasons and learn to appreciate their time together for what it’s worth. This message hinges on the lyric, “Life’s a lonely road, people come and people go, but you’re a precious stone that I’m glad I got to know.”
