Australian singer/songwriter Vanessa Elisha has released another track in collaboration with LA-based producer XXYYXX. Following the success of their cover of Drake’s ‘Good Ones‘, the pair return with the pop-infused R&B track ‘Dark & Lonely’.

“I met Marcel (XXYYXX) a couple of years back through Twitter and we haven’t stopped making music together since. I sent him ‘Dark & Lonely’ and asked if he wanted to work on it, and he literally got a beat back to me the next day.”

Marcel has remixed for the likes of Tinashe and Usher and created the song ‘What We Want’ for Grand Theft Auto in 2014. The two have been teaming up on Vanessa’s tracks since the release of ‘Out Of Time’ in late 2015. Their new track ‘Dark & Lonely‘ seems like a song about apologies – but just who on earth is she apologising to?
