Premiere: Popeska Shares Uplifting Remix Of Crystal Fighters’ ‘Good Girls’

With their third album ‘Everything Is My Family’ still ringing in our ears, English folk-tronic (not a real word but doesn’t it sound good?) band Crystal Fighters have released a whole bunch of remixes of the record’s top track ‘Good Girls’. One of these comes to us from Atlanta producer Popeska, which we have the pleasure of premiering solely for readers of Stoney Roads.

While the original did have electronic undertones both in the percussion and a synth ringing just about all the way through, Popeska’s remix takes ‘Good Girls’ all the way onto the dancefloor. Soft piano and sampled choir style voices build over the original lyrics, before we’re super quickly dropped into a breakdown packed to the brim with upbeat-ness. Future-bass style synths combined with strings, brass and metal drums have Popeska’s remix perfectly timed as an end of summer jam, and a testament to his skill as a producer.

Perfectly timed in with the release of the remix, Crystal Fighters have announced a tour across the U.S. Check tickets over at their website here.
