In 2016, Sugar Mountain Festival teamed up with Wrangler to launch The Exchange Project, an effort that allowed punters to trade in old jeans and grab some new ones for a good cause.

After a successful inaugural year, the Exchange Project will be coming back for the 2017, and will be taking visual inspiration from timeless Aussie pubs.

How it works, you just have to bring in old denim you don’t wear anymore and trade it in. The items you bring in will be donated to the cause, along with any money donated as well. You will also be able to purchase brand new Wrangler jeans, with all proceeds going to Launch Housing, a community based organisation that works with over 18,000 adults, young people and children across Melbourne each year, helping them find a home.

The Exchange Project will be set up at this year’s Sugar Mountain Festival, which is set to take place on on January 21 at the Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne.
