Seth Troxler To Record First New York Based Essential Mix

Pete Tongs BBC 1 Radio Essential mix is a cornerstone in electronic music culture, and boasts a spectacular broadcast run in excess of 20 years. After cultivating a global audience, Pete Tong has announced he will take the program to NYC for the first time on September 23, headlined by one of Americas most respected underground DJ’s – the one and only Seth Troxler.

‘Output’ in Williamsburg will host the event which Troxler has described as one of his favourite venues. “If you want underground music, there is nowhere better in America,” says the DJ and producer who held a quarterly residency there in 2014.

After the success of the first offshore broadcast in Los Angeles, (where Richie Hawtin, MK, Eats Everything, Claude Von Stroke & more graced the stage), Tong has moved to another city which heralds a long history of underground music.

With supports from local talents Eli Escobar and Nasser Baker, the ingredients for this scheduled broadcast will be sure to culminate in a palatable delight of pure class.

Keep an eye out for more info to be released via BBC Radio 1 in the coming weeks.
