Ngaiire Releases ‘House On A Rock’ Ahead of Her Album Release Next Week

It goes without saying that genres are melding more today than they ever have. There are no longer any defined lines between the sounds within music, and labelling the way something sounds very often pigeonholes the artist that created it. Papua New Guinean, Sydney-based Ngaiire has broken those genre boundaries perfectly on her latest single ‘House On A Rock’.

The third instalment from her second album ‘Blastoma’, ‘House On a Rock’ combines both her own incredibly strong and soulful voice, with production that moves from strength to strength as she does. Crumbling bass alongside high pitched piano keys, 80s sounding rising synths, and intricately layered percussion treat all the senses. Of course it’s all just a platform for Ngaiire’s own songwriting and vocal skills – and she uses it very well.

“I just wanna stop here, I wanna get off, I’ll walk the rest of the way, and though I don’t want to stay”

Themes of love lost and hopelessness are delivered with so much substance, which is a complete testament to her vocal range and strength. With ‘Blastoma’ out June 10th, Ngaiire is kicking off a national tour which kicks off just the day after. Check the full dates below, and ticket information right here.
