As we reach the 10th anniversary of the album, J Dilla‘s ‘The Shining’ is being reissued as an limited 7″ box set.

The album – which was only three-quarters of the way finished when Dilla passed – will be released as a 10 x 7″ box made up of singles from the album plus the instrumentals on the B-side. It will also include features from the likes of Busta Rhymes, Common, Madlib, Pharaoh Monch and D’Angelo among others.

The posthumous album was only three-quarters of the way finished when Dilla passed in 2006, and was completed and released by Karriem Riggins that same year.

News of the album reissue comes a few months after the 10 year anniversary of Dilla’s passing, which was celebrated in London in February.

The box set will be available on August 26. Pre-order now.
