POOLCLVB shares his top 5 Aussie tracks this year (so far)

POOLCLVB always has his finger on the pulse!

When he isn’t touring around playing clubs shows, you can catch POOLCLVB sluggin’ away in the Sweat It Out offices on the hunt for new artists, so we decided to pick his brain and find out his top tracks from up-and-coming Aussie artists thus far in 2016.

Below is a collection of artists who certainly fit that criteria! You can catch POOLCLVB at The Met in Brisbane this weekend, hopefully dropping a few of these heaters during his set.

Mickey Kojak ‘Move Too Fast’

Definition of a triple threat. Besides being classically trained, Mickey actually lays down the vocal on this record, The latest single off his new EP ‘Alone’ … its lush and analogue rich.

BUOY ‘Close/Open’

Ok so i know this just lands outside 2016, but this girl has to be mentioned. Its downtempo, its spacey, its ambient and her vocals are chill and dreamy AF. One of my favourite artists at the moment with new music just around the corner

Luke Million Ft Jeswon ‘Archetype’ (POOLCLVB remix)

Better include something of mine right? Working with Luke was an honour, formally part of The Swiss this guy is a mad man on the keys, a true disco warrior. I got all synthy on this one, lots of space, swingin’ drums. Works in the club or sprawled out on the beach.

Young Franco Ft. Dirty Radio ‘Drop Your Love’

A fellow Brisbane homie, Young Franco gives it real synth rinse out on this one. Perfect poppy cross-over with equal elements of french house and UK everything…Disclosure meets NVOY.  What I’m into!

Ribongia Ft. Hancoq ‘My Word’

Something a little more hood to close out the top 5. ‘My Word’ has the most killer arrangement. Its got just the right about of ghetto but littered with dub and reggae influences. Ribongia the dopest riddims this side of Africa.
