Radio Host Compares NSW Premier Mike Baird To Vladimir Putin

The ever-outspoken Alan Jones blurted out another anti-Mike Baird spell yesterday, comparing the NSW Premier to that of Russian President, Vladimir Putin.

The often confrontational Radio figure and host of 2GB’s Breakfast Show took to the waves on Thursday morning, stating – amongst a long winded rant – that Mike Baird “is becoming one of the biggest bully’s we’ve ever put in Macquarie St”.

“We had 15,000 people marching in the streets but the Baird Government says ‘we don’t care what you think… He is defiant, he will do it no matter what [with] no consultation with anybody… They don’t even do this in Moscow [but] we’ll do over the Vladimir Putins on Macquarie St.”

Jones – who is a long-time critic of the NSW lockout-laws that are crippling Sydney’s nightlife – went on to say “the night time economy was easily 60 per cent of our ongoing business and they strangulated that by the neck basically.”

“Oxford St was the only place in Sydney that had a heartbeat,” he said. “If they are trying to kill Sydney they have done a good job.”

Despite Jones’ frustration towards the Premier, at least we’re seeing some progress towards change, with a roundtable discussion amongst Government officials and anti-lockout law activists kicking off later this month!

What do you think of Alan Jones’ opinions on the NSW Premier?
