My 5: Shift K3y Shares Favourite Songs So Far in 2016

Shift K3y is a bit of a legend when it comes to making music.

The 22-year-old London local is currently wrapping up his highly anticipated Aussie Tour, and after what was a massive 2015 for the young, yet hugely successful producer, we thought we’d pick his brain over what music he is currently vibing too thus far in 2016.

You can still catch Shift k3y this weekend before he leaves our shores, he is playing on Saturday night at The Met in Brisbane and then on Sunday at The Ivy in Sydney.

For now, enjoy his favourite tunes of the year so far!

1: Disclosure – Nocturnal ft. The Weeknd

Love the super long build up without barely any drums or percussion super refreshing to hear this from disclosure, and love the chords and vocals too!! Also the way the drums drop in again is so cool and unique.

2: Motez – Down Like This Ft. T Kay

Newish addition to my sets but a great track in the mix and gets a good response on the floor, nice switch up on the drums in the build too.

3: Conducta – Felt this way ft. Notion

Now this guy is a serious weapon, for all my UK sets this is an absolute war mongering destroyer of a track. The bass riff is something i would imagine darth vader would have made at his prime (if he made beats)…Also Nice keys and vocals too.

4: Born Dirty – Mum’s Money

5: My Nu Leng & Kahn – Ruins

A grimey bassline smasher for the 2am sets, also mixes REALLY well with 4×4 tracks which is great for me to slip in the UK bass sound without having to draw from an OLD track.
