Melbourne DJ and overall legend Mike Metro is currently completing a 1,200km solo bike ride from his house in Tecoma, Victoria all the way to the Sydney Opera House.

The cause behind the ride is for his partner’s 8-year-old brother, Joshua, who has been battling Cancer for two years. Mike took to his Facebook page to fill us all in on the situation, detailing just how expensive the medical fees for Joshua are.

Mike says “It is becoming increasingly difficult for the family to fund Josh’s ongoing medical costs, as the current monthly cost to keep him alive exceeds $5,000. It’s heartbreaking to see them experiencing financial strain on top of an already unbelievable amount of stress and hardship.”

Mike Metro has already completed over half the distance of his trip, and is expected to arrive at the Sydney Opera House on Saturday ahead of his headline set at Cakes, The World Bar.

He has also stated that his fee for the show will be donated to Joshua and his family.
