Melbourne outfit Fortunes have been turning heads of late, and for good reason.

With their second EP titled ‘Jacket’ having just dropped – home to the massive single ‘Bomber’ they released a few weeks back – we thought we would get to know the guys a little better, and ask the tough questions.

We had a really hard time coming up with these. Let us say for the record that this is the tip of the iceberg. The longer we thought about it, the harder it became. So we decided to do a top 10 that all fit together on a set-the-mood-type playlist.

JUSTIN BIEBER – HOLD TIGHT

I’ve never been a h8r on the Biebs, but I was never a true belieber until I heard Hold Tight. I was travelling through South America at the time, trying to mix our first EP and was chatting on Facebook to Conor – asking what he’d been listening to. Needed some fresh music for my tired ears. He had been thrashing Journals, and needless to say, after I heard Hold Tight, so was I.

LUTHER VANDROSS – NEVER TOO MUCH

I can NEVER listen to this song TOO MUCH.. You know it’s good when you do involuntary air drumming.

LISA FISCHER – HOW CAN I EASE THE PAIN

After I watched the 20 Feet From Stardom doco, I  started to try dig through all these incredible ex-back-up singer’s work. They are all amazing btw, but this track stood out to me. Lisa Fischer absolutely belts it, makes me feel all the feels. 

USHER – SEDUCTION

WHY NOT CONFESSIONS PT2 ?? Just when you thought he’d got it all off his chest… You Won’t Believe What Happens Next! The song equivalent of a clickbait slideshow.. A great slide show.. But Seduction is like a sophisticated, sexy think-piece.

D’ANGELO – UNTITLED

New album is great and everything but.. Have you seen the Untitled video? Also the dead-cut ending has always makes people think something is wrong with the aux chord.
