Many consider the 90s to be the golden era of hip hop, with New York City as the epicenter. Throughout his musical career, French electro producer Para One (Jean-Baptiste de Laubier) has drawn inspiration from hip hop. He joined a hip hop group in 1993 and then dove into music production via mixtapes in the early 2000s. Before making his official debut as Para One in 2003, he built a collaborative relationship with French rap group TTC and worked on three of their albums over the course of the decade.
