One of Sydney’s most beloved live music venues, Oxford Art Factory, is for sale.

Now before you get the wrong idea, we AREN’T saying it’s closing, or even changing. But it HAS been listed online as for sale.

The listing makes it clear that a new ten year lease from the tenant – OAF – begins this month, “plus options until 2035”.

No word on the reason for the sale, or what this means about the state and future of landmark live music venues – but this is one to keep an eye on, especially considering the recent sale of landmark late night venue Goodgod Small Club, and of course the plethora of closed venues throughout King’s Cross and surrounding areas.
