Feki is quickly becoming a household name, delivering high energy electronic tunes on a consistent basis. His quality hasn’t gone unnoticed, recently playing Sydney’s Outsidein Festival, as well as supporting RL Grime on the Brisbane leg of his tour and winning the latest Triple J Unearthed competition. Feki’s latest track Quiet Minds Ft. Emily (Emily is an artist from Brisbane-based band Yuuca) is easily his most intimate, and complete production yet.

Lush pads and clean synth stabs introduce the song, creating a swelling yet ambient soundscape, before Emily’s goosebump-worthy vocals burst through, creating tension and adding an “ethereally beautiful element, ricocheting the track to stratospheric heights”. Unquestionably punchy yet tribal-like drums, pulsating yet wavy melodies completed with sporadic, light piano chords only add to the angelic qualities of Feki’s masterpiece.

It’s not hard to predict Feki’s future, with the Brisbane local set for great things. Keep your eyes on young Feki because I can say with confidence that he’s a game changer.
