Brissy producer Feki drops electronica filled “Into The Light” EP

The first (substantial) release from Brisbane’s Henry Feki finally dropped on Friday, and while the EP was in the works for yonks it’s fair to say it was worth the wait. The EP is six songs in length and features singles Love You Better ft Glades and Don’t Doubt ft Olivia Read, as well as 4 more brand spankers to wrap your ears around.

Into The Light is a vibrant first taste from Feki, who reflects on the arduous process of putting the EP together.

“It’s taken me far too long to put together a body of work that I can sit back and be proud of. This whole musical journey up to this point has been somewhat of an emotional roller-coaster. At times it’s felt like I’ve been trapped in a dark tunnel and the only way to escape is to just give in and let the darkness take over.”

Stepping into the light, Feki hits the spot on the record with some really strong work. The beat maker has that killer current electronic festival sound, with big drops on show and boss female vocalists dominating four of the six tracks.

A highlight of the EP, the first and title track Into the Light will have you soaring with it’s epic piano melodies before the track turns ODESZA-esque with euphoric builds and distorted vocals as the producer shows his range to drive the track home and set the tone for the rest of the record.

Check Feki’s debut EP Into The Light here and let us know if you’re getting around it.
